Privacy policy
Draft. cobble.host is not open for orders yet. The first section describes the site as it works today; the rest describes what is planned and has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
What this site does today
- There are no accounts and no payments. Nothing you type on this site is sent to us.
- The server name, plan, add-ons and settings you choose are saved in your own browser, so the demo panel can show them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs such as IP address and the pages requested.
What we will collect once the service is open
- Account details: your email address and a password, stored in hashed form.
- Billing details: handled by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Your server's files: worlds, configuration and logs, which we store in order to run and back up your server.
- Connection logs: IP addresses of people who connect to the panel or to game servers, used for security and to deal with abuse.
- Support messages: what you send us when you ask for help.
Why we use it
To provide the service you pay for, to bill you, to keep the service secure, and to answer you when you ask for help. We do not sell personal data.
Who we share it with
Only the companies we need in order to run the service: the payment provider, the data centre that hosts the hardware, and the email provider that sends account messages. We also share data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Server files are deleted after a server is cancelled and its grace period ends. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you. To use any of these, contact us through the support page.
